What is Duck Sense?
Duck Sense is common sense and at each program students learn to have some Duck Sense when it comes to the way they treat and react to other people. They become aware that they are responsible for their own behavior and feeling. Students also discover that they don’t have the right to bully someone else, and no one else has the right to bully them either.

Why the name Duck Sense?
Richard is based in Michigan but he travels through out the United States and Canada. At every program he brings out one of his duck ventriloquist characters. Middle school students, elementary school students, parents and teachers enjoy the many characters Richard uses to drive home the message of each school assembly program. They especially like the ducks, and have even created their school year bully prevention theme around them. When Richard is rebooked in a school the following year, many students shout, “THERE’S THE DUCK MAN!” At a school in New Jersey, a middle school student came up to Richard after the bully prevention program and said, your program was great, it made sense, Duck Sense.” Thanks to that wise quack, middle school student - Duck Sense was born.
